Community Affairs – March 2021

By Pat DelGiorno, Sandy Laserte, and Phil Lewis

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead

The easiest way to make friends is through activities you perform together. Not only would you be helping the ones in need, but you would also be able to meet some other volunteers. Here are some of the community events and organizations worthy of your involvement.

The Susan G. Komen Mission is “to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.” The 2021 Komen Vermont Virtual MORE THAN PINK Walk is planned for Saturday, October 23rd. While we may not be able to gather in-person for our 2021 event, the Vermont Virtual MORE THAN PINK Walk remains a day where we can put aside everything else in our lives and share our stories, our laughter, and our tears to raise money that saves lives.
